Meshacket Commons, currently in construction, includes affordable rental and home ownership opportunities for year-round residents. The project consists of 36 rental units (8 buildings), 4 home ownership opportunities (2 duplex buildings) and a community building.

Housing Legislation Update in RI
This is relevant to the those of us that live in RI, but it’s also worth knowing about if you live in MA, PA, or wherever Joe actually lives. Bills have been introduced (again) to the RI legislature that would move construction of 3 and 4 unit residential buildings from the Commercial Code to the Residential Code: House Bill and Senate Bill, it’s the blue-underlined text on page 3 of each bill.
It wouldn’t hurt to send a quick message to your legislators that supporting the bills would ease the creation of more housing and probably help lower the cost.
